Walk The Blocks

Hosted by Father’s Heart & Team Quest MMA

Join us on Sunday, August 30th from 1:00–2:30 PM as we come together to clean and care for the Rockwood neighborhood before the new school year begins.

Volunteers will meet at Team Quest MMA, 18206 SE Stark St, Portland, OR 97233, then walk a one‑mile radius around the gym and Rockwood Preparatory Academy to pick up trash and refresh the community for returning students.

What We’re Doing

We’ll be walking the surrounding blocks, sidewalks, and school routes to remove litter and debris. Our goal is to make the neighborhood cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for families and students heading back to school.

• Grabbers

• Gloves

• Safety supplies

• Water station at Team Quest

Just bring comfortable shoes and a willingness to serve.

Why It Matters

“It’s about building a culture where neighbors take responsibility for their neighborhood and young people see adults leading by example. Every bag of trash removed is a reminder that change begins when ordinary people decide to serve. Join us as we prepare Rockwood for another school year—one block at a time.”

Schedule

1:00 PM — Check‑in at Team Quest MMA

1:10 PM — Volunteer briefing & supply distribution

1:15 PM–2:30 PM — Walk the Block Clean‑Up

2:30 PM — Return to Team Quest & wrap‑up
